German Jens Schoor Announced As ROWE British Grand Prix Wildcard

Twelve months after making history as the first non-National in the professional era to be appointed as a wildcard for a major World Tour event, the German No.2 will line-up alongside the game’s elite at the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Super Series Championship which boasts the largest prize money offered by any World Tour ranking event in Europe.
Earlier this month, after representing Germany in the World University Championships in Australia, Schoor went on to compete in the NSW Open in Sydney – and cruised through the international field to win his maiden PSA Tour title.
“Jens Schoor is one of Germany’s most promising players,” said internationalSPORTgroup Chief Executive Officer Paul Walters. “His rise up the PSA World Rankings has been helped by generous support from ROWE Motor Oil, our title sponsors, and we are delighted to be able to give him this opportunity to compete against the sport’s very best players at Europe’s leading event.
“We are delighted to have been able to extend our relationship with ROWE Motor Oil to include title sponsorship for this year’s championship and their support has been pivotal to the event being able to achieve the Super Series prize level
“ROWE Motor Oil is a great supporter of sports in Germany, were they are based, and it is testament to the increasing international appeal of the sport that they have chosen the British Grand Prix to deliver international exposure for the company as they seek to achieve greater global penetration and sales.”
Jens Schoor, now ranked at World No.101, said: “I am very grateful for the support of ROWE Motor Oil and its founder Michael Zehe and also to internationalSPORTgroup for giving me this great opportunity.”
“I am respectful of the status of the ROWE British Grand Prix and I am really looking forward to challenging myself against the very best players at Europe’s biggest championship. I’ll give everything I have to repay the faith that Michael Zehe has shown in me,” added the 23-year-old from Koblenz.
