Nicol, the World No.1 and top seed, captured her sixth consecutive title while Mohd Azlan completed a hat-trick.
It was the fourth time that Malaysians managed to clinch both the titles at the Malaysian Open after Nicol and Ong Beng Hee had won in 2005 and again in 2008, whilst Nicol and Iskander won in 2007.
In the final held in the glass court at The Curve shopping mall, Nicol defeated World No.2, Jenny Duncalf of England in a grueling five-set match.
"I knew it was going to be a tough match against Jenny. After a good match yesterday with Alison (Waters) Jenny was gunning to keep the momentum going to take a shot at the title.
"I also knew that the game will probably go up to five sets. I had to really work hard right through and at the end when she made a few errors, it gave me a momentum to win," said Nicol after her match.
After having won here, Nicol will be vying to add the CIMB Singapore Masters title that will be held at the Kallang Squash Centre next week.
Nicol pocketed US$8,650 (RM28,545) for the win while Duncalf received US$6,075 (RM20,047) as the runner-up.
Earlier, in the men's final, Malaysian top men's player, Mohd Azlan defeated Egypt's Tarek Momen in straight sets 11-5, 11-6, 11-8 to complete a fine run in the competition.
Mohd Azlan, 28, who was the fourth seed, had no pressure playing against Tarek, who is currently ranked 23rd in the Professional Squash Association (PSA) rankings.
"Though the score line may look comfortable, it was a hard match since I was fighting with my emotion more than anything because I was desperate to win.
"I am really happy to win this year's tournament since I was sick last year and remember watching every match at home, in bed...I told myself, next year I will be making it to the final," said Mohd Azlan.
For his feat, Mohd Azlan received US$7,600 (RM25,080) while Tarek took home US$5,200 (RM17,160).
His focus now would be preparing for the Commonwealth and Asian Games in October and November, respectively.
